I have an ATI HD 5450 card right now. But today I found a tower with a x1600 pro card in it.
I was just wondering, which is more powerful?
Why for the love of god can't people just google this shit?

5450 is better.

Hows that?
hmm
recent low end range card or mid end card from several years ago
I'm 100% sure we've made 0 improvements to GPUs in general since then, I mean it's not like graphical requirements have gone up since then!

The HD 5450 is a low profile, and the X1600 is a regular card. Both 512 mbs.
So care to explain which is the best one I could use then?
Use the 5450, and just Google the damn specs.
they both suck get a new one
You know what? Use the x1600 pro. You'll see quite a boost in graphics in games and such, the x1600 pro is a card for making things look better. The 5450 is for performance but they're about the same.

Ok then, I will use the 5450. And keep the X1600 as a backup.
If I were you I would use the X1600.

The x1600 is a brand new card, its ATI's fermi basically

What would be the performance difference if I switched? Would it run better in games like Metro 2033, fallout 3?

Oh your looking to run metro 2033?
How about no.

Ok then, I will just stick with the 5450. With this card, I can run it.

Just put them both in For Cross-Crossfire support.
Just lay the x1600 on the 5450 and you are set.(if it doesnt work use a piece of string to tie them together)

yeah exactly, put your 5450 in your mobo and then just let the x1600 touch the 5450 or tie them together with a piece of string.

the x1600 is pretty fucking old. Atleast 3 years old (Technologically...) the 5450 is the latest series.
Although, the 5450 is pretty weak and slow (Perfect for HTPC, Casual) it will still out perform the x1600.

You can run it...
5450, better arch, faster clocks and more caability
Just put a plasma ball next to the pc if you want to boost performance.
Fuck string, use barbed wire as it conducts electricity thus making it faster
[editline]08:32PM[/editline]
and put the plasmaball inside the case with the most thick carpet possible
oh and dont forget magnets all over the HDD
or screws poured inside the PSU
[editline]08:35PM[/editline]
if you do all this you will be able to max out metro 2033 at around 70 FPS
hah very funny guys,
everyone knows the energy balls from half life 2 outperform plasma balls

you cant break open energy balls :colbert:

What exactly do you mean? I only have 1 PCI-E slot.
It should fit in any PCI slot :3:

Just scratch what I said and use barbed wire.
[QUOTE=Richard Simmons;21864334]It should fit in any PCI slot :3:[/QUOTE]
There both PCI-E. I can't fit a regular PCI-E card in a PCI Slot. It wont work.

I never break open my batteries. :colbert:
