Hello. I pre-loaded DE:HR a few days ago on steam, so I'd be able to play it the day it came out. I tried playing it yesterday, and whether I chose setup or play it crashes. I deleted local content, and re-downloaded, and tried again. same problem. I googled it, but since it's a fairly new game (two days) I haven't seen anything about problems of this nature. Therefore, I came here, to see if you guys could help me diagnose the problem.

It meets minimum system requirements. And I'm a poor college kid, I won't have money until I enlist.

After discussing with a friend and showing him this, i'm updating my Catalyst shit.
yeah that error is pretty much pointing toward drivers
well that didn't work. Unfortunately. I don't know what else to update.
Yeah, a patch was released yesterday to fix crashes for ATI cards. Maybe it's a lingering bug

I recall downloading the patch, I'm not sure why it would do this, unless the patch didn't cover 3xxx cards.

Any insight?

'ATI Radeon HD 2000 series or better' doesn't mean it supports onboard video. Cards like the 2600 which it is likely referring to are ~3x faster than yours.
I assumed "Can You Run It" took into account the fact that I had integrated graphics.

Never mind, they have "Minimum: 2 GHz dual core" for CPU requirement, not 2xxx or better.
I don't know how, but it works now. I don't know how it got fixed.
This is my alt, btw.
