I hope all of this extra time quietly working away at the game gives good results. Not expecting anything too fancy on alpha release mainly a stable build with a few new partially implemented features they wanted.
Its been over a year since the hype started around DayZ.
I have great memories of it before I went over to wasteland.
Hope it does well, they have left it a long time though. Will defo try out all the new stuff they have added!
That was the mods only let down in my eyes, if you had a gun the only thing to do was look for people to kill. Even something as mundane as being a farmer trying to survive would be fun in DayZ.
I can see it now, a world full of zombies and bandits and me just trying to farm my small patch of potatoes to take to the market the next day. Perfect.
I think it will do well if people just chill the fuck out and let them work.
They want this amazing game but they don't want to wait.

I swear there's a dozen people who spend their entire day pulling apart and inspecting EVERYTHING that is on steam. Just looking for changed files, added folders or lines of commented out decompiled code.
I don't know why but I think the release date is going to be November 5th because of this
