Hey everyone, I recently bought a dell xps 1710.
Im trying to overclock it but when i go to my f2 settings as it boots up.
Everything is locked cause it says i already have an admin password on it.
I have never touched it and i bought it straight for the dell website.
Does anyone know how i can get rid of this password?
Try using a default password.
admin

stuff like that.
Just like dell to put a password on the BIOS of a computer they're selling.

Hell yeah. Dell is notorious for making it difficult to upgrade their computers. That way you have to buy new stuff from them.
And yeah, Apparently the XPS 1710 was designed for being overclocked, I was watching this wierd video on it.
But man, You think if i rebooted my PC the password would be reset?

Also, do you know that to use that laptop while overclocked, you have to have it plugged in apparently.
Mines always plugged in so it's all good haha.
