Planned setup is: PowerColor Radeon HD 7950 Boost State AX7950 3GBD5-2DHV4 Video Card AMD FX-4300 3.8GHz (4.0GHz) Socket AM3+ Quad-Core Desktop Processor ASUS F2A55-M LK PLUS Micro ATX AMD Motherboard with UEFI BIOS Western Digital WD Blue WD10EZEX 1TB 7200 RPM 64MB Cache SATA 6.0Gb/s 3.5" Internal Hard Drive LG 24X DVD Burner - Bare Drive Black SATA Model GH24NS95 Rosewill CAPSTONE Series CAPSTONE-750 750W ATX12V/EPS12V 80 PLUS GOLD Certified Active-PFC Power Supply CORSAIR Vengeance 8GB (2 x 4GB) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 1600 (PC3 12800) Desktop Memory How do you think it'll run most games? I'm not great with hardware, so what would need to be upgraded to run games at high FPS on high graphical settings?
Yes, that sounds about fine, it should run games for like 3-4 years more I think
You're seriously asking whether or not a HD7950 will be able to run games fine? My HD5830 still plays new games at high quality with decent frame rates and that's around four years old (I suppose I do play on a 1366x768 monitor). I reckon that looks fine.
Dude if my NVIDIA geforce gt 220 can run most games at around 30 frames you are well off.
I really need a desktop. I've been playing games on my laptop for the past year and a half.
Everything looks fine aside from the mobo. I mean, it'll work but it leaves little room for upgrading.

It's a good setup but one problem, it's got bottlenecked proformance
You should be able to play any games well with that built.
i basically have that, except ram and processor i have a i5 3570 and 16gb ram. my gpu is a xfx 7950, i can play every game i want to, but i still get shitty frames in arma2 and 3, lowest i get is 25 and max is at the most 65 fps on max with highest visibility but thats the only games i get crap fps for some reason , crysis3 maxed, gtaiv maxed, max payne 3 everything maxed runs great, lowest is about 40 fps on them, not sure what games your wanting to play, but i know you will be fine for some time!
no worries
Which part is bottlenecking in your opinion?
The power color radeon hd 7950 and amd fx-4300
The power color radeon hd 7950 and amd fx-4300
Uh...my graphics card is the least of my worries, actually.

I would definitely swap out amd for an intel i7 to be honest. I'd also invest in an ssd.
i think this is in the wrong section
