Every time I log onto MSN my friends tell me that I send them a message (something about weight loss pills lol) and a link for them to click. I'm not sending them this message, so I presume it's some form of virus.
I remember this happening a lot a few years ago, and that there was a relatively simple fix, but I can't remember it now. I've looked on Google and have found lots of mentions to MSN virus removers, but im not sure if it's the thing im looking for, or if the files themselves have viruses (would be just my luck)
So could someone point me to an easy way of removing this annoyance?
Well, tell ol' computer doctor Dachande here what sorts of things is this virus doing? Pop-ups? Rouge software?

Read the OP.
@OP - a simple scan with spybot s&d usually fixes messenger viruses now.
Stop using Msn. :smug:
Uhm, just do a scan with Spy bot and Malwarebytes Anti Malware.

You need to change your password
I don't think it's someone else using my site, it only happens the second i log in and is sent to everyon who is online simultaneously. And it's always a similar message.
I'll look into this Spybot, thankyou everyone :)
Your friend's computer are screwed up. I always tell my friends that send me those kind of messages and all of them tell me that they computers are effed up with pop-ups.
If all fails, Use Pidgin or Digsby.
Fff, Hezzy already explained it.
You logged onto a site like "whoblockedme.com" and expected it to be legit.
No, I really didn't. I don't use my MSN login for anything apart from msn, i'm not retarded lol

or Xfire. :smug:
Well, did spybot or Malwarebytes Anti Malware find anything?
Use a good anti virus like NOD32, change your messenger to something like Pidgin or Xfire, get Spybot and finally Adblock Plus (You can block malicious websites manually with it)
Avast! anti virus is a great scanner too.

It's detection sucks. Use antivir, even though it pops up ads to tell you to buy a full version after EACH FUCKING UPDATES the simple solution is to disable the automatic updates.
