PS3 players are going through an incredible epic that spanned for almost 5 years.
I had this exact idea ages ago.
I remember all that mass effect exclusivity talk.
Holy shit yes, I finally get to play ME1 again, i played 2 and 3 on the PS3 but beat ME1 on the xbox like 2 years beforehand, i missed that game

You mean they're going to experience the 5 year train wreck.

My gripes with the ending of Mass Effect 3 aside, I cannot bring myself to say that the series as a whole was anything other than a landmark achievement. Bioware did so much right, and did it so well, that it feels very petty to dismiss what they've done just because it ended on a sour note. I know that some people just didn't like Mass Effect after the first game and they're perfectly entitled to that opinion and I won't say they're wrong. But I genuinely believe that Bioware has created something groundbreaking, and I know I'll be revisiting the series for a LONG time.
Also, looks like PS3 players are getting a damn good deal here. If ME1 runs smoothly, I might pick this up.
I replayed ME1 earlier after not touching it for a few years.
Comparing it to the later releases leaves a bad taste in my mouth. It was so much better that its hard to believe that it fell so far.
That's because planning the end of a trilogy in the middle of a company design and philosophy transition is never a good idea.
ever.
