They really need to change the ballistics and damage system. It feels as if it takes way too many rounds to kill someone, and that's if the bullets get there because of the ridiculous recoil most weapons have. They should make the game feel like Counter-Strike, not like Left 4 Dead.

Really? Because I'm constantly getting killed from a dude across the map with a shotgun, or some guy fires 3 bullets with the AK47 mid range and I'm down to 12 health.

That's rather odd because I survived many encounters with shotguns at close range, but the AK is a different story.
I've actually experienced both cases, I've seen the M1014 take four shots to kill point-blank range, and in the same round someone got sniped with a MAG-7 (1 hit kill from very long range). It's very inconsistent, sometimes you can take someone out with a short burst from an AR or SMG, and others you'll be unloading mag after mag shouting: "Why won't you die!?".
I really want to play this.

During my short period playing CS:S this was my exact feeling. Maybe they're taking a similar route
