are the classes required to take hard? (CPR/AED and First Aid)
You need to be able to swim.
You need to be able to lift a 500lb man-whale out of the water. Every pool has a man-whale, and you need to save their ass.
You need to have a water.
My brother's friend is a lifeguard and all he basically does is stare at a pool for six hours a day. Sounds easy.

yeh its an easy job I'd imagine I'm just worried about the classes

My sis was a lifeguard. I think the classes were pretty intensive, but if you're a regular swimmer, nothing you can't handle.
Did you see that episode where SpongeBob becomes a lifeguard? It's harder than it looks!

When I was at a pool about 9 years ago this dumb kid pretended to drown in the deep end of the pool (10 feet!!) and ended up getting banned from the pool.

When I was in swim team, there was a free day where anyone could do anything, and this stupid kid with fogged goggles jumped on my fucken head. ouch.
