Okay so, I try to start up my laptop and it gives me this error on a blue screen:

The registry cannot load the hive (file):
\SystemRoot\System32\Config\SOFTWARE
or its log or alternate.
It is corrupt, absent, or not writable

It pops up after the windows loading screen comes up (with the bars)
The laptop is a dell inspiron|1501 running on windows XP
