My old laptop came with windows 7 preloaded, but did not come with the cd for it. I need to format it now, but how do i do it so that i can have windows 7 on it but no files?

You can't. Call up the company of your laptop and tell them this, they will hopefully give you a CD.
There is a recovery partition on the computer with some files in it (in a format called WIM). Can i format from this. If so , how?
