I can't say I'm not giggling like a school girl right now, but this kind of thing needs to stop as all it's doing is harming consumer choice
Score one for the guys with less vague morals?
"Apple is appealing this ruling because Motorola repeatedly refuses to license this patent to Apple on reasonable terms, despite having declared it an industry standard patent seven years ago." Motorola had previously noted that it had offered Apple "reasonable licensing terms and conditions" since 2007.
"We'll sell you the rights to use this for $10k" "TOO HIGH FUCK YOU, UNCOOPERABLE COMPANY FUCK OFF STOP SUING US WE SUE YOU RAWR"
Good to see apple get some of it's own medicine.

"Two can play that game" This is just childish. Also good job screwing german iDevice users, Motorola.
"Two can play that game" This is just childish. Also good job screwing german iDevice users, Motorola.
Perhaps Apple should licence the patents they use like everyone else has to?
I like how lawsuits against Apple tend to be over relatively technically things and Apple gets upset over something like an "overall rectangular shape."
Good to see apple get some of it's own medicine.
How much of their own medicine do they need to get until people stop saying this?
How much of their own medicine do they need to get until people stop saying this?
A whole pharmacy's worth, short of enough to bring back Steve Jobs from hell.
Good to see apple get some of it's own medicine.
You condone fighting fire with fire?
You condone fighting fire with fire?
With enough fire, you can starve the other fire of oxygen and extinguish it!
A whole pharmacy's worth, short of enough to bring back Steve Jobs from hell.
Pretty much knew someone would go for that cheap reply. This is stupid, and anyone who thinks it's great is stupid. You guys whine and bitch about this the other way around, so why not whine and bitch about it now? If it's deemed alright in this circumstance why do you all whine so much? It's like preschool babies crying "he did it first".

It isn't like Apples many cases involving dimensions and other irrelevant things.

While I don't agree with things like these, Apple has been employing questionable at best courtroom ethics, designed to kill the competition and quell tablet or smartphone design evolution (which Apple always assumes is a deliberate copy of their product designs). So far they've been somewhat successful (see Apple Vs. Samsung in Europe), which only makes their lawyer team more aggressive. If going after them using the same tactics is what it takes to make them stop, so be it. It's all for a greater good - better, improved designs for new consumer devices, which Apple doesn't condone unless those consumer devices have the apple logo lasered into it. Also, please keep in mind who threw the first stone. Patent issues were never a problem in the market before Apple came in and started flailing copyright breach lawsuits everywhere. Apple broke the unspoken treaty on design evolution, now they're paying for that.
You condone fighting fire with fire?
You act like he controls whether or not this happened. Apple had it coming, and companies aren't gonna just sit there and take it up the ass from Apple, even though some people here would want them too.
You condone fighting fire with fire?
Yeah I do. This is business, you fight fire with more fire in cases like this, and the ones that do offer the other cheek are the ones that go under.
And overturned :v: http://www.facepunch.com/threads/1160958
Also, Apple had the chance to pay what everyone else does, but ignored their payments.
