I am trying to upload a video I captured in Dxtory to youtube, and I receive the following error. Unable to convert video file. My video is 8 gigs large and an avi file. I have tried to convert it to a wmv file but the converting program would not go past 0% after 15 hours. I have searched for a good 2 hours on the web and no solutions I found have worked. Here are the file details. I am at a loss of what to do.
You should never upload the raw files. The reason it's probably not working is you're using the dxtory codec and youtube has no idea how to work with it. You could bring it into virtualdub and then encode to xvid. There are thousands of tutorials for it.

I suggest using Handbrake for converting the video to a format that youtube understands. I've used this Preset file to encode a few projects of mine and you get really nice quality video with small file size.
You may follow this method to solve cannot upload AVI to YouTube This method also helps to upload other video files like AVCHD, MKV, MPG, RMVB, ProRes, MXF, etc to YouTube.
