• Which AM4 (B350) motherboard?

I'm gonna upgrade to Ryzen, and I've no clue which mobo to go for. I haven't a clue which brands are considered reliable, which ones are considered shit, what features I ideally need in a motherboard, etc. I know for a fact that I'm buying from the website below, simply because I can drive there and pick it all up and there's a nice 2 year warranty on them all, again, useful because I can just drive there and drop it off if something gets fucked with it. I'm gonna be slapping the R5 1600X into it, if that makes any difference. I would say what features are you looking for, but it looks like all the boards have the same feature set. SATA3, M.2, Realtek LAN and Audio, and USB type C. So now it comes down to your brand. What brand is your current motherboard? Do you trust that brand enough to buy them again? I've used ASRock for my last two (Intel) boards, and I have good faith in their boards. I've heard that ASUS is having BIOS issues with certain Ryzen boards, mostly X370 though. Don't know much about Gigabyte or MSI boards though. I definitely recommend reading reviews for these boards on PCPartPicker or Newegg, just to see what other people think. There's always a few horror stories to find. Whatever you do, update the board's BIOS as soon as you complete your build. AMD has been pushing out significant updates which help with crashing and system halts.
Basically don't buy Biostar and you'll be alright imo. I personally have my own qualms about ASRock because every ASRock board I've ever dealt with was absolute piss but I'd be willing to bet they're not as bad as they used to be and for all I know I've only seen lemons. ASUS seems to be fixing their BIOS issues pretty quickly so it probably is more of a brand choice thing at this point. I like MSI or ASUS personally because their warranty support has always been good to me.
What's the consensus on Gigabyte board? I'm tempted to go with them because my current board is a cheap Gigabyte and it's done absolutely fine, so I figure a more expensive board should be better. I could, however, just be lucky with the one I have. On the topic of more expensive boards, all B350 boards sit in the $100 category, so anything will be a good board.
