I've only read book one of The Expanse series (Leviathan Wakes), but I really, really enjoyed it. These guys aren't riding on George R R Martin's coat tails, they have real, intrinsic skill of their own.
Just, you know, if anyone was worried.
Can't wait for this. Loved Walking Dead and currently loving the Game of Thrones show.
I would've preferred to have had Martin had at least a bit of influence in this but hey, he doesn't get to kill off characters now... right?
I am very very excited for this. the fact game of thrones hasn't had a decent game is actually pretty shameful
I hope they didn't go for over the top voice acting. I played that rpg game for about 5 minutes and had to quit because I just hated the cartoony voices which didn't fit the atmosphere at all.
I think this will be the one good GoT game
So the guy behind The Expanse series is on board with this?
Okay. Let me say this right now, this is going to be fucking excellent.
As for The Expanse series, "Leviathan Wakes" is awesome go read it.
My one concern is I hope they don't go for such a heavy comic feel for this. Its worked for their other series really well, but I just don't think it fits with Game of Thrones.

Don't see why they would.
Fables and Walking Dead are both comic series, so it only makes sense Telltale would go for a comic appearance. However, I'd imagine Telltale will go for a more realistic and grounded feel for Game of Thrones.
During a Reddit AMA around October or so, Telltale mentioned they are going to ship a new engine "[this] summer" - which I imagine means Tales from the Borderlands and Game of Thrones will use the new version of the engine.
But telltale is cartoony look. I mean it wouldnt work on walking dead either, but they managed to touch alot of players feelings.
A more approriate image.

Was The Wolf Among Us too? Or the poker night series?
Was The Wolf Among Us too? Or the poker night series?
Wolf Among Us? Yes.
And most of the characters in the Poker Night series.
Wolf Among Us is based off of Fables.
Fables and Walking Dead were both comics, and Telltale used the comics as source material for both games.
The only time Telltale gave a cartoony look to something that was not cartoony in the first place was Back to the Future I think.

And it works great there too, since Back to the Future is an adventure/comedy

I dunno, back when they first announced it I was thinking the same thing and I kinda feel like if they go with something styled a bit more like The Dark Tower comics, for example, it could work.
