Right so quick story I install a new heat sink. Put everything back together etc etc
I run the PC and it loads.
I add a new hdd and it goes to blue screen quickly ( I cant read it/ auto reboots)
Now I took out the 2nd hdd and booted the PC and the same issue occurs again. Ive checked all cable took out the 2nd hdd altogether.
Now im in Bios asking the PC to detect the hdd and its telling me there is nothing. :(
Now Ill try it again with the 2nd hdd to check its not the cables I mean christ what are the odds of 2 hard drives dying on you in the space of 20 mins :(
Spam F8 after BIOS screen and disable reboot on error from there
well I was on BIOS I attempted to save it to drive just to see if it was detectable and it isnt ive swapped both hdds over. Still noting ive ordered a new sata power and data cable just in case my 2 are both fecked its only £1.04 so nothing really + free postage.
I just dont understand what could be the issue.
[editline]22nd April 2011[/editline]
well I tired the F8 trick im beaten to it by windows recovery or w/e its called for some reason it doest let me control the options i.e. select safe mode etc etc
Yet keyboard works in BIOS :/ lol
Fucked there I said it.
You can most certainly swear on the internet.
Put your windows disc in boot to it and choose the repair option.
Its bluescreening because it has a new piece of hardware with no idea what it is, I had recently had this problem but without the bluescreen. If its a new HDD it should come with a disk, you have to slipstream the data on that disk onto the windows cd and redownload windows (FOR THE BEST FIX) You don't HAVE too, you can just normally install it, but a clean version of windows with a new hard drive is a happy version of windows with a new hard drive.
