I just wish they'd go back and help broadcast some M:TG tourneys. Even if it was just Worlds and the PTs.
i do wonder how many tuned in just to see what it is and didn't like it
The only people who probably didn't like it were those 50 year old sport nuts who want their full football and baseball coverage only on espn
I doubt the complaints about Esports on ESPN varied much from the complaints they receive when they didn't cover so and so small time baseball/american football event due to less omnipresent sports like cycling having a major event at the same time.
Everyone hated Poker on ESPN when it was first debuted.
Now it's one of their most watched programs.
There's always room for new programming, especially if the viewership is strong. It doesn't matter what its for, ESPN is a television network and, if something brings more viewers than a smalltown football/baseball/etc tourney then they will show that instead.
I think its great!
It'll attract more people to e-sports in general.
I don't understand the concept yet, but it's nice to have some variety. I hope they don't expand too rapidly though. These tournaments every so often will probably do for now, but in a few years who knows? eESPN?
I'm surprised they didn't use the newbie commentators for the ESPN cast, I know that if I knew nothing about Dota and tuned in to that I would be completely fucking lost, moreso than I currently am watching Football.
Really would've expected them to cover even just one full hockey game before anything like this.
i always wonder why News sites use TI3 Pictures/video for showing off the international and not the latest one.
literally, like BBC's twitch video does it, a bunch of online articles show the TI3 Audience, etc.
I can understand if it's before the latest international, but after it just doesn't make sense.

He said he found it really hard to watch because they were missing all the action and explaining so many things so fast so we switched to a normal broadcast and he enjoyed it a lot more (with me explaining some stuff from time to time). I guess its just tastes but the constant stream of information can be a bit intimidating

BBC's Twitch coverage was also fucking awful.

it weirds me out because I feel like they're using pictures meant to show how big it is, when TI4 was even bigger.
This makes me so happy. c:

Or maybe attract the "e-sport" nerds to appreciate REAL skill and talent in actual SPORTS.

Can we not do this right now?
I feel like ESPN should expand the coverage to it's main ESPN channel on TV, ESPN. It would bring in a lot more viewership than just on ESPN3
