Just looking over the thread titles, it seems like most(all?) of these threads are about computers, so I hope this isn't the wrong subforum.
I recently water damaged my Galaxy Nexus, dried it out, and it is functional. The only thing that doesn't work is the power/wake/sleep button, which is kind of an
integral part of the phone. I can turn it on by repeatedly inserting the battery while attached to power, but when the screen sleeps, there's no way for me to wake it.
I've tried a number of apps to allow me to wake the phone with the volume rocker, but none of them seem Galaxy Nexus compatible. Just thought I'd see if anyone has
any advice.
Thanks.
There should be an app on the market to keep the screen from sleeping. If youre worried about power usage, set the wallpaper to black and switch to a blank homescreen. Since the screen is OLED its virtually like turning it off when all the pixels are black
Tried this today, got about 6 and a half hours of idle time...
