The computer I'm working on is being extremely difficult. It won't boot from the CD anymore; the result is a 'Booting from CD...' message, with no results. If I wait, the 'Last Known Configuration' menu appears, along with a choice to boot into Safe Mode. When I select Last Known Configuration, the Windows XP loading bar appears, but restarts in a few seconds. The same with the safe mode option, only it loads some of the .sys files, then crashes.
What's my next course of action?
Once again, I'll be happy to answer any more questions, and thanks for your time.
Does it give you any error codes?
None. It just crashes.
No blue screen?
Damn sir, I am sorry that i cannot help. Frankly, my knowledge on computers is relatively inept.
Sorry, you may try best buy? Or geeksquad or some other computer technician?
I'm not giving this one to Geek Squad. I'm looking to solve this one on my own. Do you think flashing the BIOS will allow it to boot from the CD?
What's the last .sys that loads in safemode before it restarts?
