I just stop reading about new games, I also never watch movie trailers anymore. Works well most of the time.
My only problem is I forget when movies/games come out and miss them. Upside is I realise they're out because they're on sale on steam.

I managed to not know shit about Dead Rising 3 apart from the first level up until the PC release as I'm getting to play it now.

Yeah, I started to just not really care about any releases. That way when something is released, and it does fairly well, my interests in it will be peaked.

I don't get how you can say this will be overhyped. Most people are expecting something akin to FC3, which is what they're delivering. I'd say people's expectations are pretty realistic.

Marketing reasons, they're probably worried that if they dont show off every single aspect of their game that they might lose out on a sale or two
