If this is in the wrong place please move Alright Ive been having this problem with ventrio and it erroring saying
Unable to initialize outbound codec (GSM 6.10 - 44 KHz, 16 bit): Unable to find the specified codec.
Now I was looking on google and such to find this codec but to no avail I couldn't find it. I tried ACE MEGA CODEC PACK but that errord on me. I tried some codec finder but it wanted me to buy it. So my last try is asking the good people on facepunch if they know how to find this codec or a fix to the error I stated becuase this is REALLY starting to make me rage. also im on vista64 bit
It should be included with Windows. Check a ventrilo + Wine guide to get the name and have someone send it to you.

You don't. I'm just saying you'll find the codec name that way (because Wine users sometimes have to copy the files over)
You don't. I'm just saying you'll find the codec name that way (because Wine users sometimes have to copy the files over)
Well wouldn't the codec name just be GSM 6.10? I found this tho http://ubuntuforums.org/archive/index.php/t-678496.html
I meant the file name. You'll need "msgsm32.acm" from someone else's install if you no longer have it. Otherwise I have no idea.
I have that file but what do I do with it
I have that file but what do I do with it
Is it in system32 or did you find it somewhere else?
Is it in system32 or did you find it somewhere else?
Ya its in system32
Then I'm stuck. Sorry.
Alright I found a small program that fixed my problem thanks for trying to help tho
