I've been looking at purchasing a Mac. But really I want an Apple MacBook Pro, but I also want either a 24' or 27' screen. The only problem is, I want to know the difference between a LED Screen and an LED Cinema Display Screen. You can only seem to purchase an LED Cinema Display Screen, and not the screen that comes with a iMac. Are they different or are they exactly the same?
Thanks.
Mac's what?
well all i can tell is that the iMac has a thin layor of glass to smoothen out the screen to make it look better. i dont think you can get that with macbooks dont quote me on it tho.
Well no I am looking at buying a screen to go with a MacBook. But they have LED Display for the iMac's and then they got screens that you can purchase yourself to go with a MacBook which are called LED Cinema Display.
the LED Cinema Display is just a high quality monitor that Apple makes. it's basically a 2nd monitor for iMacs, a monitor(s) for the Mac Pro, and an external monitor for the MacBooks.

there is no difference.
So they're exactly the same? So pretty much you are paying for the monitor when buying a Mac... Thanks
What?

I also noticed the punctuation/grammatical error there, my friend.
Don't buy an apple cinema display. Buy some other brand instead. Apple monitors are amazingly overpriced.

What?
iMac= a screen with a computer inside it
MacBook= A laptop
Apple cinema display= A display and nothing more.

Stop with the redundant comments for the love of god
I am talking about the iMac screens.
Get a 15" MacBook Pro. Then you can be as cool as me :-P
I think it is ridiculous that you can't buy a 27" display, which looks similar to the iMac, or at least fits with the iMac 27"..
I think Apple is going to start selling 27" cinema displays. What worries me is that they'll cost $200 less than the imac... you're better off just getting an imac, using it for the screen and having a bonus computer lmfao

I wouldn't have 2 iMac on my desk.. That would be somewhat stupid, then I would rather buy another one screen, which is 27" inch, which still matches the iMac...
