It's never really been a visual update. Some effects night look better, that's about it.

All of the environment textures are higher res, and there are some new detail textures on the path to radiant top T1
the main map is redone with the dota 2 workshop tools fyi
that's why there's a huge difference in quality
The main thing I'm happy about is that it doesn't run like total fucking garbage when things are happening anymore. At least for me.
