The oss suffix was actually created by me as a joke. I added it to everyone's name and for a whole week I said oss at the end of each sentence.

In fact, now that I think about it, not many people called me by my first name at all. Even teachers called me Whitey or some variation of it.

They used it ironically because I was pretty much the opposite.
taig, which is not as much a nickname as it was a way of having a go at me.
But more funnily, there was a guy in our class who bought a Manchester United jersey and got a custom name put on the back, he wanted "Ferdinand" after Rio Ferdinand, but since he couldn't spell Ferdinand he just got "Rio" needless to say the name stuck for the 6 years.
