• Vertical yellow line(s) across my laptop screen.

Whenever I start up my computer, a vertical yellow line (very thin) appears across my screen, there would sometimes be one or two. This first happened, when I turned on my laptop after overheating. It doesn't stay permanently, I can sometimes get rid of it by adjusting the screen position (pulling it up and down) or applying a bit of pressure behind the screen. It has been appearing a lot more frequently than I remember, and it getting a tad bit annoying especially when I'm gaming. Anyone know the problem?

If messing with the screen makes it stop, then it's not a GPU problem. The LCD screen is probably failing in some way, which isn't possible to fix. You can however buy a replacement screen to replace the bad screen.

Half a year? You should check if it's still under warranty. Call the place you bought it from and tell them the screen is broken and you want it replaced. See what they say.
How much would that cost (Australian dollars)? I've only had this laptop for about half a year, if not more.
It depends on how big the screen is, who makes it, etc. I've seen them going for between $60-200 USD depending on the type of screen and the source selling it. Though if you still have a warranty on the laptop, I'd get it replaced under the warranty program because there could be something else wrong with the laptop.
next time, screenshot it and see if it shows up - if it does it's a GPU problem for sure, if not, it's something to do with the LCD or the connections to the LCD.
Could there be anything that I done that could have caused this problem? I don't want to tell my dad until I'm sure that it's not something I did.
Not unless you're using the open laptop as a baseball bat. (AKA it's highly unlikely you could have directly caused it)
Great! Two questions: 1. Where do I go to get my screen replaced under warranty? (How do I check if I'm still under warranty?) 2. Would they still replace it even though it's a minor problem which isn't permanent?
Call the place you bought it from and tell them it's broken and needs to be replaced. They'll tell you if they can replace it or who to call that can.
Thanks for the help!
