• Best Motherboard for Gaming Machine?

Hey, Just enquiring as to what the best motherboard would be really for an intel gaming system I'm putting together, obviously has to have the standard, Sata, LGA 1155 Socket, DDR3 Compatibility, a couple of PCI-E x16 Lanes and a few x1 Lanes for extras. Have a budget of about £150-£200 inc VAT, I work for an IT Company so I can get products straight from a distributor which gives me a significant cost reduction, also a recommendation for a micro-atx board with a LGA 1155 Socket would be good as well. I've been looking at going with an i5 2500K as opposed to an i5 2400, is there really any performance difference which is noticeable. Thanks muchly
gigabyte G1s, they've got guns on so you know they'll be good for playing games where you shoot people no, P8Z68-V would be fine for the mATX probably P8P67-M PRO main difference between the 2400 and 2500k is the k can be overclocked, very worth it with how well they OC otherwise there's just the basic clock difference, and the 2500k gets HD3000 integrated graphics while the 2400 gets HD2000
Thanks for the reply Pal, are there any cheaper alternatives to the mATX as 3 PCI-E for that size is a bit excessive for my needs? Cheers
if all you need is one PCI-E then most mATX boards will probably fit your needs, though you didn't really specify any
