• Graphics driver has stopped responding.

A couple of weeks ago I started getting this error while playing any graphic intensive game pretty much. I only have played 3 and got it, but they are BF4, LOTRO, and STALKER Clear Sky. I am running those games at max settings at 50-60 FPS. I would play them and then they crash a little while later and some times I get the graphics driver has stopped responding error or the screen just goes black and then comes back and the game is no longer responsive. I have checked the temperature of my graphics card while running BF4 and it gets to 100 degrees celcius while playing, I just closed the game when it got past 100 but I am guessing my card is overheating and shutting down to protect itself. Why is it suddenly getting that hot, I used to be able to play BF4 for hours and nothing happen, now I can get maybe a match in before it crashes. LOTRO can go maybe 10 minutes before it crashes and around the same for STALKER. I have taken my card out and sprayed as much dust as would come out of it. I have had it for a little over a year. Did you try updating your drivers?
[QUOTE=Killervalon;45389392]Did you try updating your drivers?[/QUOTE] Yes, they are at the latest update. [editline]14th July 2014[/editline] I will uninstall and re install the drivers though, see if that does anything. [editline]14th July 2014[/editline] Temps stayed around 75 Celsius after re installing the drivers, but it still crashes although I was able to go a few more matches in BF4.
Oh wait, didn't see the part about the temperature (I feel dumb now). What the hell, do you have problems with heat inside the case as well or is the thermal paste not working properly? You could try contacting EVGA (they're nice folks fyi), and ask them why this is happening if you do actually have proper cooling inside the case. This temperature (100C) could damage your gpu fyi Also, to measure temperatures, use HWMonitor instead. Higher chance that it's more precise. But yeah, 33C to 100C seems odd. To stress test your gpu without having to play, you can try running furmark.

It stresses it beyond ANYTHING any game could, and with his high temps it may further damage his GPU. I'd suggest something like Valley or Heaven Benchmark
