Recently I moved into a new living place. A beautiful 3 bedroom house. The rent is $1300 a month.
I found out that people that built and lived in the house (before landlord purchased and I rented) had a monthly payment of $800 a month and loan amount was $200k.
The house was foreclosed (for foreclosure). Now to the rage part. Who the fuck can't afford $800 a month to pay for a house?!?!?
I work my ass out and tried to get a loan for a house. All payments made on time, decent income (3k+ a month), but not great. Of course I switch job places 2 times in past two years but only so I can get higher income.
However stupid ass banks still can't give me a loan. I could buy this freaking house and pay $1300 to the bank (and not $800 as previous owners) instead of throwing money in the black hole.
What the fuck banks!?
People are greedy. Hell, at least you're making 3000$ a month.
Maybe you should focus on building credit. Borrow money, pay it back. I'm not really an expert on that though.
Credit unions ware usually more flexible with giving people loans, try one of those out.

Well land is very expensive. It can vary between a shit ton of money and a ass load of money. Everything else you mentioned is also very expensive.
