I started up my computer the other day and everything was running fine for about half an hour. Then the screen started spazzing on me. Patterns started appearing and then it froze before taking me to a screen that read 'Windows will be shutting down to prevent harm to your computer' (or something along those lines)
So my question is, does anyone know what's going on? I've been told it may be a video card error, but I don't know for sure. Any help would be appreciated.

Download something like everest and check the temperature of your GPU(s)

Sure sounds like overheating to me. If the above aplication doesn't suit the task, try HWMonitor.
