Gainward Ati Radeon HD 4850 512MB, PCI-E, GDDR3, Dual DVI http://www.jimmspc.fi/tuote/GAIN-9566?t=false
NOTE THAT THE HD 4850 HAS 256BIT MEMORY BANDWIDTH AND THE 5670 HAS 128-BIT BANDWIDTH
By looking at the specs, the 5670 is better in every way but the memory bandwidth. memory speed is a LOT bigger, as it is GDDR5 and Core speed is bigger and supports DX11 and all...
4850 all the way
[editline]03:27PM[/editline]
Not discussion worthy, 4850 /thread
How should i trust YOU. im buying a video card here.
Please, if someone could, tell me something about the memory bandwidth,
128bit vs 256bit
4850 performs better in games, and 5670 sucks at dx11 anyway
Don't judge GPUs by their specs, judge them by the benchmarks. Most people have no clue about what any of those things mean.
But 5670 has faster core and lot faster memory and atleast SUPPORTS dx11.
Could you tell me the diffrence between memory bandwidths?
Get 4850, stop researching :colbert:
5670 sucks at dx11
Oh and memory bandwidth = memory bus width (the number of bits transferred in one clock cycle)* memory frequency (the number of clock cycles per second)
(the result is in bits per second transferred)
so 2GHz GDDR3 on a 256bit bus is effectively the same as 4GHz GDDR5 on a 128 bit bus.
So pebkac, are you telling me that 4850 is faster than the 5670 here?
It wouldn't be really accurate to tell which is better by specs, you are better off searching for some benchmarks.
I'll look onto it
4850 is better, this is fact
you made a thread asking for advice, so stop ignoring it
I agree with others. People like OP cause me to have migraines. By the way, did you notice that the 4850 has 2x more stream processors?

Stop arguing with us
Crysis isn't a very good measure of low end graphics card. This chart says the 4850 is better than the 5770

5770 is basically a 4850
Not really, the 5770 can beat the 4850 by at least 10% on any game (assuming it's not max settings at a high resolution. The 4870 is closer

5770=4870

note that this benchmark came out in January, which was before the driver update that boosted the 5xxx series, correct me if I'm wrong.

The 5770 is a fair bit better than the 4850
The 4850 is much better. Stop trying to argue with the people you are asking for advice.
Im not trying to argue with anyone, and im sorry if i seem to do so. anyways, thank you for your help, this pretty much proves that my friend was totally wrong.

AND that i should not order it.

Also, im sorry, im not really experienced in computers.

Also, i just wanted some info on WHY it was better :p
No offence intended.
