not surprised, it's behind a paywall more or less.
They could have avoided some of this by premiering on regular cable. I love Trek but I don't feel sorry for CBS at all.
Correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't it on Netflix basically everywhere except the US?
The first episode Star Trek Discovery did premier on CBS cable, watched it free with my antenna\tv.

First 'Episode'; aka half of the pilot (which is two episodes long), that just suddenly ends in the middle of the action.
