Looking for a light, small, decently specced laptop

Hey all. In a couple months, I will be shipping out to sea for a few months, so I won't be able to bring my beloved desktop with me.
I'm looking for a laptop instead. The one I already own is a bit too big and bulky and lacking in battery life, being an Asus G75.
I'm looking for something that:
-On the small side. No larger than 15.6", no smaller than 12"
-Isn't a 2-in-1, Surface, Chromebook, or Mac
-Under $800, but can go to $1000 if absolutely needed
-Has good battery life, 5 hr minimum with general use
-At least supports 1080p video no problem
I've been looking for a few days with no ideal results, do any of you have any good recommendations?

Although it seems pretty nice, it's a little pricey. I'll consider it if there is nothing available under $800
I own it, but only because I really wanted the 850m, I can't find anything else with it for the price
Any other suggestions? I don't really need something that fits all my parameters, except price is important. What I described above is the ideal laptop I'm looking for.

Honestly, finding a laptop with a 1080p panel is pretty hard at the sub-800 pricepoint. Nobody should have to live with 1360x768.

Also keep in mind it's a ULV processor.

Its roughly equivalent to the mobile Ivy Bridge i3. Just with a little under half the power consumption. And the GPU is much better.
Depending on what OP does, it will probably be more than enough if its just for everyday things.

This may be exactly what I'm looking for
Thank you
