It's actually more for rendering and editing photos and videos. It's a workstation PC.

The xeon is just a core i7 with higher binning and a lower clock. Xeon are just consumer cpus with a few extra instructions.

Um no, you're a fanboy. AMD processors are very good for their price. And He's looking for a good workstation processor, those hexacore processors are good for rendering and such.

Why get an i7 860 when you can save a good $70 by getting an AMD Hexacore? Show me some benchmarks comparing the two.
