So I was getting a new mic for TF2. Once I tried to talk, sound came through my headset crystal clear, but my mic, according to other players on the server, was shitty. Like my last mic. But what really puzzles me is this paticular shitty mic works fine with every other program besides steam games. Anyhoo, my new headset mic will not be discovered by my PC, much less TF2. I tried the find new device button, but none were shown. I even have the mic jack plugged in. Help!
I had this problem. For hours and hours I couldn't work out was the problem. Then I found the putting on the cable saying "Mute" and it was switched to mute. I felt like such an idiot.
I also going to the companies website who made the heat set and get the most up to date drivers.
