I press the power button on my computer to boot it up and the fan goes and blue light turns on but I look on the screen and it is as dark as it was when it was off. everything is connected correctly. I will push the power button again and it turns off ass soon as I press it. I do not know why it wont start. Help me.

You use another computer, dunce
Graphics card might be dead. My friend's computer did the same thing when his 9800 GTX died.
Reseat video card? Reset CMOS? Make sure the monitor works on another PC?
First step, is your monitor ON?

Lol I think his should be on.. otherwise il be laughing for 2 days straight.
Anyways try unplugging your PC (Or flicking the switch on the PSU) and turning it on and give it a miniute as sometimes the graphics cards try to use the wrong output and that usually solves it.
If that does nothing reseat the graphics card and if that does nothing try clearing the CMOS ( Either press the switch if you have one or take out the battery and then pop it back in ) and if that doesnt work...
Try the card in annother PC if you have one also what graphics card ya got?
It could be your memory, try to reseat it.
I am on my brother's laptop.
My PC uses GeForce 9600 GSO 768mb ram ladydadyda.
My computer has been like this since early May.
Before it died I had repeatedly turned it on and off. I had pressed the little black button by the power button to reset it and then boom
First you should open up the case and look for any obstructions or obvious problems.
Try a different monitor, if you have one around.
Make sure all cords and cables are plugged in.
Reseat your video card, attempt to turn on the machine again.
Reseat each stick of your RAM seperately and attempt to turn on the machine again.
If none of this works try clearing the CMOS.
But as you said you had repeatedly turned the machine on and off, and during an attempt to reset it, the machine never posted.
So you could have busted your PSU.
One of the most important questions though: does your machine BEEP just a few seconds after turning it on? If so the machine is actually posting/booting and it is a video related problem, meaning the monitor or video card.
Got any extra GPU's lying around to try out?

I doubt he lost his PSU.
is your monitor cable all the way in? did the graphics subsystem go kaput? plug in another external monitor. if it displays on that, its a dead monitor or disconnected cable. if it displays randomness or nothing, then its a GPU problem.
Thanks guys I will see if any of this works.
Try to reseat the battery too. It stores temporary settings for turn on
Reset CMOS.
