My Razer Lycosa keyboard just arrived and I downloaded the latest 2.0.4 drivers from their website for Vista x64 (which I have). The setup all went fine, and asked me for a reboot. When I booted back into Windows, the theme had been changed to Vista Basic. I tried re-enabling aero but I couldn't find an option anywhere.
Specs:
AMD Phenom X4 9850+
4GB DDR2 RAM
Razer Lycosa keyboard
2x ATI Radeon HD 4670
Windows Vista Home Premium
The keyboard doesn't work well without the drivers, but windows looks fucking ugly without Aero.
Any ideas?
Thanks

Shit, just noticed that I've now no longer got an option for Crossfire in my catalyst control center.
[editline]05:02PM[/editline]
FUCK, the keyboard lights just turned themselves off.
Actually, the keyboard works fine without the drivers, excluding the posibility to create macros of course.
I know, I've just rolled back to an earlier date.
Did a complete re-install of the ATI graphics card drivers, got aero back.
But I have no option for Crossfire in CCC and it is showing my second card as a "Disabled Adaptor".
:bang:
-snip-
Anyone got any advice?
rerun the windows index score thingy
Previous scores = 5.7
New score = 5.6 (lower to do with graphics)
How can I enable the second card and get crossfire running again?
Ccc
Yeah, problem is, there's no option called "CrossfireX" any more, the list ends with ATI Overdrive.
Also, in CCC, second card shows as a "Disabled Adaptor" with no option to enable it.

Yeah but please, any idea on how to fix it?

I really need the other card working for Crysis.

Don't come crying back to us when one of the myriad problems with it bites you in the arse.
oh sorry, were we right or something? oh i guess we were, heh.
uninstall the drivers maybe?
try listening to FP next time?
also don't use drivers. razer doesn't make good drivers.
razer doesn't make good drivers.
And keyboards.
And keyboards.
but their mices are good. or at least the deathadder. dunno their other products.
Load up Device Manager and check to see if the second card has a problem. If it doesn't, try manually uninstalling it and reinstall the drivers. If it does, post back.
I've uninstalled the keyboard drivers (I presume, I have done a system restore.)
I have manually uninstalled and reinstalled both the graphics card drivers and CCC.
Also:
What the hell? Multiple context menu entries?

Thinks I have 4 graphics cards?

Shows second card as "Disabled Adaptor":

These problems only started to appear after installing Razer drivers and program, but didn't disappear when I uninstalled them :crying:
try unplugging your keyboard.
I've got to go pretty soon, I'll try that when I get back.
Also, as the drivers may not have been uninstalled properly with system restore, do you think it would be a good idea to re-install from the driver CD and then uninstall from revo uninstaller or something?

yea try that.
I just tried that, then rebooted with a generic dell keyboard instead of my Lycosa.
I then uninstalled the ATi drivers and CCC, rebooted (using the generic windows graphics card drivers) and installed the ATi drivers and CCC. After a reboot, the problem is still there.
Halp?

Jesus christ that thing is stuck in there real good. Try cleaning the registry with ccleaner.
I've tried that, it found a few issues to do with missing file extensions.
Nothing major :frown:
We said Razer is shit, look how it screwed your entire computer.
Try to system restore a few days back.

Restore further. Like a week.
That's how far I went.
To just before a windows update.

Reformatted, installed all drivers except Lycosa drivers, everything is fixed
