I like the whole "adventure tutorial" thing they've got going on here; though once they've finished covering all the important to learn aspects, I hope they consider something like a good ladder campaign or custom maps. Personally I think micro is an important thing to learn from one of the next tutorials, since such skills are required for properly playing classes like Meepo and Lone Druid, as well as Heroes who use summons and creep-controlling since the whole "gather all your soldiers and throw them at the enemy" strategy can only go so far.

Imagine somebody making a warcraft map where you can actually just play warcraft 3 on the source engine.

Regardless custom maps would greatly extend the longevity of the game and the variety too. Also, I dunno if Valve has had much experience with strategy games, though they did have limited squad control in Half-Life 2 and it's expansions. I wonder; if and when they make Half-Life 3, d'you think they'd be able to increase the squad control mechanic from the originals?
This just keeps getting more and more "playable" as time goes on.

Is the tutorial just some teenagers calling you racial slurs?
Is the tutorial just some teenagers calling you racial slurs?
Russian teenagers who still decide to do matchmaking in the east coast and set their language as english even though once they get ingame they flood the chat with cyrillic.
This just keeps getting more and more "playable" as time goes on.
it was highly playable many months ago, even if you were an absolute newb to Dota.
Maybe I'll actually try learning to play now that there's a tutorial.

I mean the Portal 2 editor(the easy/simple new one) was a test for the Dota 2 editor, notice how it sort of felt like the WC3 editor or an RTS editor in general, and they will give us hammer and all that jazz.
