• Update to Firefox 8, never works as smoothly and crashes

The story is simple, I update the browser and it simply does not want to work. I have now uninstalled it and am using Firefox 7.0.1. Anyone else experiencing this?
anyone know of the issue here?
I have no problems with 8, maybe it's your internet or computer.
Ever since they bumped up the appearance, I'm getting chopping processing. Comparing how fast they think when I adjust the window size.
I have no problems with 8, maybe it's your internet or computer.
Well, Firefox 7 works speedily and fine. I have tested Firefox 8 on a Windows XP machine and it works fine. Only on this machine (Vista) will it crash and bug out. I think it's the addons but I'm not sure about that.
Tried it with all add-ons disabled, still have the issue. It's not just you either, it seems me and Hakita have the same issue. I would have suggested that you use an old version but I can't seem to find an old versions page, and I deleted all my old installs for all my programs because I wanted to save some space. Does anyone think they can check out could be going on at a deeper level by any chance?
I switched and my memory leak that was fixed at ff4-7 came back and is now 2x worse. Sometimes reaching up to 3 gigs of mem usage but averaging around 2.8 before I get tired of the choppines and restart. I have 2 tab groups and in total less than 20 tabs.

It seems Mozilla is in such a rush to catch up with Chrome's version numbering system that they're skimping on stability as a whole.
I also have Google Chrome as an alternative and that works fine. So clearly it's something to do with old addons or plugins. Java maybe? Similar issue here, except it's only when I try to go to Facepunch. Edit Nevermind. It just started working. Edit Nevermind, it's even more fucked up.
Meh it's how many addons the web browser engine it has to load. Chrome does this too, and I know that for sure. Note, I'm on a netbook, I only have a small amount of extentions running. I noticed this effect with both Firefox and Chrome when I installed Adblock Plus. I also have Firefox 7.0.1
Greasemonkey and Downloadhelper can't take that much space.
well it seems that 6000 people have the same problem. So it's safe to say that they screwed it up. https://support.mozilla.com/en-US/questions
Why not try Palemoon? It's an optimized version of Firefox for Windows.

Solution that people have accepted is not to use Firefox 8. Okay.
Jump straight to Nightly(11.0a1) version of Firefox. I've been using Nightly versions of Firefox for 2 months now and never had a single problem except a few bluescreens with websites including Flash.
