Heh. Looks cool, but I'm not savvy with this kind of stuff.
Looking good, if I was making a case I'd probably stay away from the normal case designs and do something more unique though.
Looking good, if I was making a case I'd probably stay away from the normal case designs and do something more unique though.
yeah, I started because I was really bored, I had absolutely no ideas, now when I'm almost finished the ideas just keep coming.
What I'd like to see in a case is the power supply at the front bottom, no front intake fan at all just a great looking brushed aluminum look (e.g Lian Li A05), three 140mm fans at the bottom of the case where the power supply would be, then three at the top above the motherboard, bottom being intake top being exhaust, only two optical bays and the rest of the room near the front dedicated to 3.5" bays (around 8) with all of them having 2.5" compatibility. Like the layout of a Silverstone raven (except not rotated 90 degrees) with the look and feel of a 650D and PC-A05.
well now I have an idea for my next project. :D
I'll buy it with money!
Good work, kinda looks like an A04.
except its much bigger mine is (W)230x(H)520x(D)570mm
With a touch of magic: Case of the year all years.
After spending 3 lessons learning perspective in my graphic design class Looking at that picture hurts me
I should be a photoshop expert.
paint it black or some other matte color
paint it black or some other matte color
going to do that, just that I get my airbrush into a working condition [editline]27th August 2011[/editline] and the interiror is probably going to be white, at least some parts, like that grill (right from the motherboard tray, it holds the tray in place and is meant for HDD mounting)
Don't paint it, Keep the "industrial" look.
Hell no it needs paint, probably feels terrible as it is too.
Don't paint it, Keep the "industrial" look.
maybe don't just "not paint it" but the industrial look owns
This "industrial look" looks like unfinished crap.
Why put the PSU at the bottom? Heat rises and you'd heat every other fucking part of the PC from the PSU. I'd rather replace my PSU from overheating than replace everything else.
Why put the PSU at the bottom? Heat rises and you'd heat every other fucking part of the PC from the PSU. what was the metal box original for, was it a old case?
A lot of case has bottom matted PSUs.
Just noticed this... No hard drive cage?
I might actually keep the rough look inside, but the outside is going to be painted [editline]28th August 2011[/editline]
what was the metal box original for, was it a old case?
I made everything from scrap metal i found in our garage, except for the motherboard backplate, 5.25" drive cage and rear I/O panel mount with those mounting slots for add-on cards [editline]28th August 2011[/editline]
Just noticed this... No hard drive cage?
I used something else instead, posting pics later but if you think hard enough you'll figure it out where the drives go
Won't it rust? Shouldn't you sand the rusty parts down, then paint everything?
Won't it rust? Shouldn't you sand the rusty parts down, then paint everything?
It's aluminium, it wont rust, except maybe some surface rust will be visible after some years [editline]28th August 2011[/editline] here are some pics of the mounting place for hard drives: sorry for the crap quality
Neat.
yep and I can always cut some more of that grill and make more mounting point for the disks
What's with the hard drive that says O.K.? Also dem fan boxes.
I once got about 10 disks, didn't know if they were working, so i tried them out and labeled them if they work or not the fan boxes are just lying there, I'm too lazy to put them into the trash bin
