I'm building another computer for my family. This time for my dad. He's always complaining on how slow his computer is, mainly because he uses an office and home computer on a single desktop. So he wants me to build him something. Price isn't an issue. But my say is nothing over 2500.

I came up with these specs. My mom insisted that I should get the best ones so he doesn't complain on anything. Should I change anything?
Why do you have to say "for father" it's just creepy sounding. Get sandy bridge, and not the old i7. I suggest you use newegg rather than whatever that site is, if you're in the US like I think you are.

And, imo, he doesn't need a 6970... Sandy Bridge i7 and its built in GPU should be fine, most likely.
Oh wow, i am sorry to say but that build is shit, where do you live?
Also, you have 2x2GB RAM and you should have 3x2GB RAM for that motherboard, for triple channel.
I live in Canada. I tried convincing him to use newegg but he didn't like how much they charged for shipping.
This is TigerDirect, and we have one by us.
How are these?

what will he be using this computer for?
He uses Adobe Acrobat a lot, plus some other things and having a billion things opened.
I wanted to get him good specs so he wouldn't complain about anything and will last him for a long time.
Get him a i5-2500 (not k), and an H67 motherboard.
He also doesn't need a 1050W PSU, and if you use integrated graphics instead of a 6970, you can reduce that significantly.
Switch the 2x2 RAM for 3x2, if he likes a lot of things open, that will be more helpful to him.
And did you forget to get a case?
He's undecided on the case. And he said to get him the best video card.
