• Comcasts DNS servers for the midwest are down
    9 replies, posted
I have no source (Wait, Got one), but all the people in the Midwest i talked to are having problems with web pages loading. I fixed it with Google's DNS servers. IPs are 8.8.8.8 and 8.8.4.4 if anyone can get a source or something, please post it. http://erictric.com/2010/12/05/comcast-down-in-midwestern-united-states/
Yeah, ever since around 7:30 both of my homes & all of my friends with comcast have been unable to get internet and comcast's phone support is busy.
8.8.8.8 and 8.8.4.4 I use those as my DNS's
I set our router to use those DNS's so we don't have to worry about it. Our ISP's are normally reliable but I started using Google's after our ISP's stopped resolving AndroidForums.com for some bizarre reason.

Yay for Google DNS! Even though I live on the east coast...
