Weird title? I think so. Basically, I'm buying a 3DS XL and three games. Two of those games are Super Mario 3D Land and Luigi's Mansion: Dark Moon. What should be my third game? No eShop games. All physical. (i will get eshop games once im used to the 3ds)
Animal Crossing New Leaf, Ocarina of Time or Kingdom Hearts DDD. also you already have a 3DS thread, ask there.
depends what genre you'd like. there's a good variety of genres on 3DS, fire emblem awakening for strategy, animal crossing new leaf for a casual life sim, ocarina of time for an adventure/puzzle, rayman origins is another solid platformer, and mario and luigi dream team is a very good RPG. thats just off the top of my head, just read up on the games available, maybe read/watch some reviews and find out yourself, or at least provide more info about what you're looking for/what you enjoy

Dude, Metal Gear Solid 3. Shits amazing.
the ocarina of time remake fixed a lot of things. the ocarina has its own slot now, and theres 1 extra item slot, so switching between items isn't as frustrating. theres also a hint system that doesn't make things insultingly obvious for you but just points you in the right direction, i like it a lot. i also like the controls a lot better in general, and having it as a handheld game made things a lot better for me, since i found it pretty hard to sit down and focus on it when playing it. its also obviously a lot better graphically. if you like shooters you might also want to look into the starfox 64 remake, i don't know much about the game but its generally pretty well received i think. theres also an MGS:3 snake eater remake i think, again i don't know much about it but its a stealth game and a shooter game and also pretty widely liked [editline]4th August 2013[/editline] oh of course, donkey kong country returns. the controls are a LOT better on 3DS, and the portability is great. if you don't own it on wii already it'd definitely be worth picking up, if you already have it its still been worth buying again for some people but you may want to give it some thought
post
Super Mario 3D Land is NOT short. I'd go into more detail but it'd spoil the game. I've never played OOT on the n64, but I can tell you that the 3DS version is a huge graphical improvement. It also comes with Master Quest, if you haven't played that yet. I've played KH3D. The only good thing it has going for it is the combat system (with a twist). Like all KH spinoff games, the story is some weird shit. Doesn't look like you'll like animal crossing: new leaf, it's a game that depends on real time so of course there'd be waiting.
What is master quest?
Mario Kart 7?
Animal Crossing New Leaf, Ocarina of Time or Kingdom Hearts DDD. also you already have a 3DS thread, ask there.
If you try to post in the 3DS thread people will just ignore you.
What is master quest?
Mater Quest is the main game but with altered dungeons. Plus, the whole game is mirrored on the 3DS.
If you try to post in the 3DS thread people will just ignore you.
no, people just ignore specifically you.
people have suggested pretty much all the good games in the 3DS' library, and you've shot them all down shouldn't you have put a little more research in to the games available for the 3ds before choosing to buy one
Starfox 64 3D?
Fire Emblem: Awakening Monster Hunter 3 Ultimate Etrian Odyssey 4 Shin Megami Tensei 4 Virtue's Last Reward Animal Crossing
If you don't mind getting a non-3D game, check out Moon.
Monster Hunter 3 Ultimate is a must own.
Paper Mario Sticker Star was an ok game. Keep in mind it's not like any of the other paper mario games. Mario Kart 7 is also pretty good.
I suggest that if you haven't beaten OOT, then I recommend that you do. Trust me, getting the OOT3D will be a lot easier to control, and in the long run, be worth all the money you spent. Metal gear solid 3 is also an excellent game. It's my favorite game of all time. Not sure about the 3DS version though. Heard there are some issues with the cutscenes, like framerate drops. But other then that, you MAY need to get the circle pad or some shit to control the game better. I ALSO heard that a lot of the content is missing from the other versions. But other then that, it's supposed to be a good, even on the 3DS.
Kid Icarus: Uprising
Okay, lets do a really big post. Part 1: I'll post something about a game I want, and what I think is bad about it. Please correct me. Super Mario 3D Land: Short, with little to no replay value. (CORRECTED) Resident Evil Revelations: Awkward shooting controls / mechanic. Animal Crossing New Leaf: Too much waiting! Mario Kart 7: Rage inducing. Sonic Generations: Repetitive. Part 2: I reply to some of the posts.
Monster Hunter 3 Ultimate is a must own.
Played Monster Hunter on PSP long time ago, not a big fan. From a Sony fanboy, let me say that thing is garbage. :/
the ocarina of time remake fixed a lot of things. the ocarina has its own slot now, and theres 1 extra item slot, so switching between items isn't as frustrating. theres also a hint system that doesn't make things insultingly obvious for you but just points you in the right direction, i like it a lot. i also like the controls a lot better in general, and having it as a handheld game made things a lot better for me, since i found it pretty hard to sit down and focus on it when playing it. its also obviously a lot better graphically. if you like shooters you might also want to look into the starfox 64 remake, i don't know much about the game but its generally pretty well received i think. theres also an MGS:3 snake eater remake i think, again i don't know much about it but its a stealth game and a shooter game and also pretty widely liked [editline]4th August 2013[/editline] oh of course, donkey kong country returns. the controls are a LOT better on 3DS, and the portability is great. if you don't own it on wii already it'd definitely be worth picking up, if you already have it its still been worth buying again for some people but you may want to give it some thought
With those updates Ocarina of Time sounds like a good idea, but I still want to see if there is more games I would like. MGS3, again, I've already played games like this. I don't see the point of playing a game you already own. I don't own OoT anymore so maybe it's a good idea to pick that up. Donkey Kong Country Returns looks like a good platformer but I played it on Wii and the cart based levels absolutely infuriated me. I'm the kind of person who has to get all the KONG letters and Puzzle Pieces to feel satisfied from playing that game.
Why are you even buying a 3DS if you have no interest in any of the big games?
I just said...
I just said...
So you're only gonna get like one or two games?
You're thinking about this too deeply. I guarantee you'll like a lot of the games you've written off. [editline]5th August 2013[/editline] Fire Emblem, for instance, is by far the best game on the system imo.
Mario Kart 7 or Mario & Luigi Dream Team when it comes out on August 11th.
Okay, here are some of the games I would LIKE to get, but I can only get one. New Super Mario Bros 2 Donkey Kong Country Returns 3D Resident Evil Revelations Mario Kart 7... ? Since my other attempts haven't worked, I got an idea. My question is in the form of HATE. I want YOU to CORRECT me. (its not real hate im just using to get your attention) New Super Mario Bros 2: That game is lame and repetitive. And you die way too much. Donkey Kong Country Returns 3D: The cart levels in that game are stupid and shouldn't exist. Resident Evil Revelations: The shooting controls in that game are utter garbage. Mario Kart 7: You start in first place and end in last every time.

If you want some fun platforming, I would suggest NSMB 2. Mario Kart 7 is also good, if you love racing games and getting mad, and I don't know about RER.
Okay, thanks everyone. That's all I need. Bye!
no, people just ignore specifically you.
No, this is just called being an asshole. I know plenty of people who have tried posting there but complained about being ignored.
