Should've renamed it DmC: Tameem vs Society - 2Deep4U Edition
I still kinda want it. From what I have seen of gameplay it looks pretty bayonettaey with the combat style, and i'm not pissing blood over the character either which I have seen a shitload of people doing. Yeah he isn't original dante, he isn't a shining star of a character, but he aint no commander shepard either.
Though it will probably be a "wait til it's on sale for like 5-10 bucks" sort of thing unless user made gameplay videos really sell me on it.
just go home tameem

Needs a Team fortress 2 promo FUCK YOU noisemaker :v:
the complete pack seems like a nice deal (Devil may cry 3, 4, and the new one for $59.)

Don't. 3 is from what I understand a completely horrible port, DmC is looking like shite and while 4 is worthwhile, the PC version of it being the best version, I wouldn't spend $59 on it.
Get the DMC HD collection for either 360 or PS3 and play 1 & 3, then get 4 on PC

Yeah, funny fact, it's actually easier to emulate DMC3 for PS2 than to play the official PC version. It's that bad.
Devil May Cry Devil May Cry
Dante is torn between two worlds
has a twin brother
just wants to belong
no respect for authority
uses magic to transform himself during battle
its like every shitty animecharacter ever
who names a subtitle after the title
those guys were just like "yeah thats a good idea lets repeat the sentence it will be so edgy"
im nitpicking but come on its dumb as fuck
i got the dmc collection for ps2, thats all u should need
4 is fun but i lost my disc :(
I remember my brother and I rented the original Devil May Cry when I was in fifth or sixth grade. Those monsters with scissors freaked me out back then.
Saw my friend play the demo.
Gameplay seems fun as hell, and the level design is awesome.
I don't care much for Devil May Cry, so Dante being different does not bother me.
I'll probably pick up the PC version for this.

If its anything like the DVD release of DMC3, then I don't know what you're talking about.
It worked perfectly well on my computer which by now would be 11 years old and by the time I mounted it was already really outdated.
The only issue I got was playing it with the controller I have now. I just can't seem to map the thing right...
However, worked perfectly fine with a logitech controller.
I wish they had a DMC 3 and 4 pack only for like 10€ or 20. They are still bloody expensive, being 20 each.

Where are you guys getting this?
I had it on DVD for the PC and it worked perfectly well on a shit computer.
From what I've seen In the gameplay videos this game looks fun as hell.
Going to play it regardless of what anyone says.
Bandwagons facepunch.

it's the worst part about FTL: Faster than Light, I don't get why they added it to this game too.
Is it a thing now where they have the abbreviation before the name? Are we going to see HL: Half-Life 3 or fucking CoD: Call of Duty Rooty Tooty Point and Shooty?
they completely ruined the character, made it babys first videogame easy, and unskippable cutscenes as well as cutscene based boss fights (press x to win type of shit)
Wow. That's just laughable of you.
You did certainly not play the demo, it's the exact opposite of what you're saying :v:
It was challenging, fun and the way the limbo would warp the city was incredible, almost like the part in Inception where everything would start exploding.
And the boss fight was hard, long, and you had full control all the time. Absolutely no quicktime events whatsoever.
You should not make statements without knowing the subject.
I played the demo for this game.
I'ts better than i expected!

I'm sorry are we talking about the same game here?
You know, this boss fight? The one with cutscene interrupts, laughably awful dialogue, and pitifully easy "one-button required" combat?
And how are you be able to consider the demo fun and challenging when you didn't even play it? :v:
i don't mean quicktime events, i mean the cutscenes that interrupt the boss flow, and i wouldn't doubt there would be quicktimes in the full game
They don't interrupt the boss flow, they signify that you've made progress in it.
It would be to interrupt if it happened at unpredictable points, but you expect something to happen when you down its first health bar.
This is completely normal in video games, and it's not even something negative.
You're just looking for things to blame the game for.
also; it isn't hard, example, demon weapon/axe/red thing.
You're saying it isn't hard because it has weapons? What?
also you still can't deny that the character is an insufferable cunt cry-baby
oh god damnit
I've yet to see him cry about anything, as opposed to you. :v:
I'm sorry are we talking about the same game here?

The dialogue is stupid yeah, but I can't agree on the rest of what you're saying.
You will die if you don't dodge its attacks, and you do have a vast amount of actual attacks.
It's a hack and slash though, not a fighter like damn Tekken. It sticks to the same formula as the earlier games, and feels somewhat more fluid in my opinion.
Again, the cutscene interrupts are not interrupting more than they are informing about progress in the boss fight. This is completely normal in games.
And how are you be able to consider the demo fun and challenging when you didn't even play it? :v:
Because I did play it some time after my 7-hour-old post.
The most painful thing about watching that demo video was the player's skill level. Still, I'll probably buy it in january.
*stuff in a quote box*
- Sure the previous games didn't do that, but why do you even care? Do you have an enormous problem with it? It's normal in other video games. Shadow of the Colossus does it, and I don't see anyone whining about it.
- I didn't use the demon axe more than i used any of the other weapons. It's more powerful but also slower, like ultra great-weapons in Dark Souls.
- your counter argument isn't especially impressive
I've never played a DMC game before. So I can only make an opinion based on the footage of DmCDmC. Visually I like it, the city transforming is a neat feature. As for Dante, I think he looked way worse in the early stages, but it's hilarious how it's basically the designer himself. The gameplay also looks like fun. I absolutely hate the writing though. Dante may appeal to 12-year-olds, for me he's just a cunt. I still can't get over how one of the voice actors said the story (maybe even writing) is almost Shakespearean.
When I look at this I don't see DMC, I see a game with the DMC title on it.
I'm not saying it's a bad game, I don't mind Dante's "new" personality, it's not even new in fact. He sounds like this in Devil May Cry 1 too (except the excessive swearing).
It's so colorful with lots of contrast, what happened to the dark setting DMC originally had?
