Now if only they'd fix the Volksgrenadier bug where if you upgrade the mp40 in a squad before the mg34 light machine gun upgrade becomes available in the Escalate to Assault phase, it permanently removes the mg34 light machine gun upgrade from the unit. But once the upgrade becomes available, it doesn't, even if you upgrade the mp40 first.
So how long do firefights last in this mod?

For those CoH players who've never played Blitzkrieg, I highly recommend it. It adds tons of new units, reforms damage models, adds HD textures and vastly expands the commander trees. Takes awhile to get used though.
Sorry for replying so late, but is the game crashing for anyone else right on startup? I can't get the newest version to work. Older versions work just fine, but this one crashes immediately after starting the game.
My friend had the same problem. He solved it somehow, doing a complete reinstall of the mod and the game helps i think.

Pretty sure from the sound of it that this hasn't changed. I'd argue it's better to play though; infantry are fragile but in tight, urban spaces with some decent weapons and some supporting fire they can reign supreme. Only issue I really have with the mod is that - while certainly true to real life I suppose - having your entire tank force knocked out by one Tiger/King Tiger/Panther without being able to so much as scratch the bastard is more than a little frustrating.
