Some still works on it !? WHAT !
IF it's still gonna nag me until I buy it, then I'll just stick with 7-zip.
and here comes a long thread of people pretending anyone gives a shit which piece of free software they use
Why do you always have Mac in all caps? It's not an acronym.
:woop:

I like WinRAR. I've been using 7-zip for a little under a year and yesterday I reformatted my computer and found myself wanting WinRAR more.
Oh cool. Didn't know that they were still working on it.
7zip for life. it's not bloated, has better compression algorithms, and opens every archive I've had, including some setup.exe files. It's also nag-free.
I feel bad that I use it for like 4-5 years and it's still the 30 days trial version.
The same applies to Total Commander.
I've been using winrar for so many years now I know exactly how long the trial version box takes to come up and exactly where the close button will be. It is a useful skill.

Total Commander is useful, but not worth the pricetag:

42$ or 32€
Did they change the design?, I mean c'mon, they can't be using the same one from years ago.
Is this still in beta and if it is, does anyone know the release?

Oh they are, don't worry.

APPLE has its own proprietary language, called iENGLISH, in which you capitalize every letter except 'i' of a proper noun.

What's wrong with it? You can move stuff around and change themes/icons.

WinRAR is much better than 7zip, in terms of user interface, as a macfag would say, 'it just works'

Also obligatory WinRAR is a WinRAR..... :ninja:
Never used anything else but winRAR. That pop up you get everytime you open it has became such routine it doesn't matter anymore.
I gotta confess, I like WinRAR. I use it for so long I don't see myself changing. And that's a bad, bad thing, I know.
What's wrong about using software that you've got used to for so long?
WinRAR works just fine if you ask me.
yay hope it's better than before!
Most people likes Winrar mainly for its incredibly rich and user friendly interface. There are better freewares that offers superior compression algorithms such as 7zip.

Some people like it to have a "OHH shiny!!" GUI, while some prefer a minimalistic one that gets the job done as simple and as fast as possible.
Does it still let you use it after 40 days or?

winrar gui is not something I'd call shiny. Not the default one atleast.
WinRAR is nag free if you download it from the site correctly. Mine hasn't nagged me once.
Looks interesting. I'll give it a try.

Is that the new default theme? I can't find it anywhere.
