• Bought a new router, can't access settings.

Upon moving to a new apartment, I bought a new Asus DSL-N12u B1 router. The automatic quick set-up ran without problems but now I can't access the 192.168.1.1 OR the default gateway 84.250.192.1 address for the settings. Here's my ipconfig/all C:\Users\DM>ipconfig/all Windows IP Configuration Host Name . . . . . . . . . . . . : DM-PC Primary Dns Suffix . . . . . . . : Node Type . . . . . . . . . . . . : Hybrid IP Routing Enabled. . . . . . . . : No WINS Proxy Enabled. . . . . . . . : No DNS Suffix Search List. . . . . . : dhcp.inet.fi Ethernet adapter VPN - VPN Client: Media State . . . . . . . . . . . : Media disconnected Connection-specific DNS Suffix . : Description . . . . . . . . . . . : VPN Client Adapter - VPN Physical Address. . . . . . . . . : 00-AC-49-19-C1-A8 DHCP Enabled. . . . . . . . . . . : Yes Autoconfiguration Enabled . . . . : Yes Ethernet adapter Local Area Connection: Connection-specific DNS Suffix . : dhcp.inet.fi Description . . . . . . . . . . . : Realtek PCIe GBE Family Controller Physical Address. . . . . . . . . : BC-5F-F4-44-19-78 DHCP Enabled. . . . . . . . . . . : Yes Autoconfiguration Enabled . . . . : Yes Link-local IPv6 Address . . . . . : fe80::f8d0:1a08:1364:b190%11(Preferred) IPv4 Address. . . . . . . . . . . : 84.250.215.117(Preferred) Subnet Mask . . . . . . . . . . . : 255.255.224.0 Lease Obtained. . . . . . . . . . : 10. elokuuta 2014 0:47:18 Lease Expires . . . . . . . . . . : 10. elokuuta 2014 12:47:18 Default Gateway . . . . . . . . . : 84.250.192.1 DHCP Server . . . . . . . . . . . : 84.250.192.1 DHCPv6 IAID . . . . . . . . . . . : 247226356 DHCPv6 Client DUID. . . . . . . . : 00-01-00-01-17-7E-34-56-BC-5F-F4-44-19-78 DNS Servers . . . . . . . . . . . : 2001:4860:4860::8888 192.89.123.26 193.210.18.18 NetBIOS over Tcpip. . . . . . . . : Enabled Tunnel adapter 6TO4 Adapter: Connection-specific DNS Suffix . : dhcp.inet.fi Description . . . . . . . . . . . : Microsoft 6to4 Adapter Physical Address. . . . . . . . . : 00-00-00-00-00-00-00-E0 DHCP Enabled. . . . . . . . . . . : No Autoconfiguration Enabled . . . . : Yes IPv6 Address. . . . . . . . . . . : 2002:54fa:d775::54fa:d775(Preferred) Default Gateway . . . . . . . . . : 2002:c058:6301::c058:6301 2002:c058:6301:: DNS Servers . . . . . . . . . . . : 2001:4860:4860::8888 192.89.123.26 193.210.18.18 NetBIOS over Tcpip. . . . . . . . : Disabled Tunnel adapter Teredo Tunneling Pseudo-Interface: Connection-specific DNS Suffix . : Description . . . . . . . . . . . : Teredo Tunneling Pseudo-Interface Physical Address. . . . . . . . . : 00-00-00-00-00-00-00-E0 DHCP Enabled. . . . . . . . . . . : No Autoconfiguration Enabled . . . . : Yes IPv6 Address. . . . . . . . . . . : 2001:0:9d38:6ab8:cb5:174e:ab05:288a(Prefe rred) Link-local IPv6 Address . . . . . : fe80::cb5:174e:ab05:288a%13(Preferred) Default Gateway . . . . . . . . . : NetBIOS over Tcpip. . . . . . . . : Disabled Tunnel adapter isatap.dhcp.inet.fi: Media State . . . . . . . . . . . : Media disconnected Connection-specific DNS Suffix . : dhcp.inet.fi Description . . . . . . . . . . . : Microsoft ISATAP Adapter #2 Physical Address. . . . . . . . . : 00-00-00-00-00-00-00-E0 DHCP Enabled. . . . . . . . . . . : No Autoconfiguration Enabled . . . . : Yes Tunnel adapter isatap.{E25CEE8B-3975-4AC5-97BB-E594ED1ED5BB}: Media State . . . . . . . . . . . : Media disconnected Connection-specific DNS Suffix . : Description . . . . . . . . . . . : Microsoft ISATAP Adapter #4 Physical Address. . . . . . . . . : 00-00-00-00-00-00-00-E0 DHCP Enabled. . . . . . . . . . . : No Autoconfiguration Enabled . . . . : Yes
Try this "http://192.168.0.1/"
Doesn't work, obviously, 192.168.1.1 being the address printed onto the sticker on the bottom of the router. [editline]10th August 2014[/editline] After a long googling session, it seems that nobody else has had this problem before, I'm honestly stumped.
So just reset it and start again.
Also try 192.168.2.1. Some shitty modems are known to take the 1.1 and force 2.1 on the router
That doesn't look right to me for a connection with a router, try release/renew or if that doesn't work assign a static IP to your computer of 192.168.1.100 and subnet mask of 255.255.255.0 with a default gateway of 192.168.1.1 then see if you can access it. Edit: didn't realize this is a DSL modem/router combo, may be completely different.. I've never had DSL before
