I mean, take a look at this.

Its an iPhone 3GS 16GB.
How on goddamn earth can someone sell something that cost over 1000 dollars for 110 dollars? I mean, It doesnt make sense.
Lets take the look at some possibilities:
Is it stolen from someone? It comes with the original package, charger etc. So it doesnt look like its stolen.
Is it a scam? Doesnt look like it is. Of course its used so its abit worn from use, but apart from that, the buyer says it works. Its a top rated seller with 100% positive feedback, 412 people have voted positive on him. So it doesnt look like its scam too.
Is the person selling it just plain stupid? He could sell it for 3 times the price to someone. Maybe he just likes to waste money.
So, what do you guys experienced with Ebay have to say? I never bought anything on Ebay. Is it normal for things to be this cheap?
1000 dollars? What the hell are you talking about?
Maybe he won it in a giveaway
uhh it's an auction so it's bound to go for much more that it is now

and there is still 6 days left anyway
That too, I thought It was sold already, alas i didn't click

I dont know about things there, but a non contract iphone 3gs, operator free costs 1000 euros, at least here in Portugal. I reckon that its abit cheaper on other european countries, but theres not much of a difrence.
3GS's are really expensive, in Sweden it goes upto 10000~ SEK

This. I mean, unless the seller gets hundreds of bids in the next 6 days, its highly unlikely that he will get a profit, or atleast get his money back.

Here's a more accurate pricing of what the price for the phone will go up to
That converted to euros would be uh 538 euros
Except that is the 32GB compared to 16GB in the OP.
1) People see a cheap price.
2) Lots of people bid ultimately raising price past what people would pay for it new.
Well, ill keep posting here to update the price, along this 6 days. So far, it has rised 50 cents, from the time I made the OP.
Thats not so interesting FYI

I wouldn't waste your time to be honest
I bet it's cheap because they dropped it in the bath or something.

I hope to god you lurk ebay a bit before you bid on stuff, welcome to the internet
$1000? Have you never seen the price of an iPhone? Or for that matter, a super scam?
- Maybe he gets it cheaper somewhere
- Maybe someone gave it to him and he needs money
- Maybe he won it
- Maybe he found it
- Maybe he stole it
Maybe he buys them in bulk.

For irony, an iPhone advert at the bottom selling 'Wholesale IPhones $149".

Maybe he needs crack money and is willing to give that shit away from just about any price. That's why I'd sell it.

That picture is taped to the door of the computer room at my school.
People sell shit they don't want, get it wholesale, get it in bulk... Tons of reasons.
