• New setup, old hard drive - any problems with this?

So I've just ordered a new mobo, case, RAM, and processor. I've salvaged my hard drives out of my old rig and intend to use both of them in the new setup. However, I've got sensitive files on both drives and I'm going to be screwed if I have to format one of them. Theoretically speaking, I should be able to find drivers for the onboard NIC and audio without having to re-install Windows, right? If that's the case, will I still be able to use Device Manager to un-install the old drivers or will they have to be removed manually?
Old copy of windows is prolly not going to work in your new build. Pretty sure that changing the mb counts as a "new computer" to windows, and if its already registered to a computer then it cant be reused on another one. That being said, ive done this a few times- it sometimes boots up and sometimes wont, depends on the hardware (old and new)
Alright, looks like I'll just have to try it. Worst case scenario I'll just use a file recoverer, even though that doesn't always work.
