No, you can still log in to the web version of the store and buy games from there. You can just no longer buy games from the device itself.
They're just ending hosting for digital storefronts that probably aren't visited too often anymore.

You can buy a regular PSP for 20 bucks.

CFW. Make backups of games while you can still download them.
Well the PSP is an old system and has had a good run.....
I have CFW on mine. Really the only reason to have one these days.
