1tb spinpoint f3 that is about half full. Also my hard drive beat the velociraptor up their. :smug:
Does access time matter?

I presume the other one has a lower minimum because it's my main boot drive and the OS is accessing it a lot?

I think this is the new low.
Finally got my server array back up, I was expecting it to be a bit quicker than what I got but the stripe is set to 512k and I haven't really played around with it yet.

This is true to an extent but there's so many variables that can apply it ends up being one of those endless debates that nobody agrees on.
Yeah I know, but you should always RAID identical drives for the best performance, and to get the most out of both drives.
